Reviews follow your date

Four decisions, none of them negotiable
These are held in place by tests, not by code review. If a test breaks, the change that broke the rule goes back.
An AI that asks, not answers
A chatbot hands you the answer and you feel taught. Demostra asks the answer of you.
Honesty is not punished
Saying “I don't know” still earns points. Punish the honest answer and the system stops measuring what it came to measure.
Attention is measured, never rewarded
The number of interruptions in a focus session is tied to no badge, no ranking and no streak. The measurement is your own mirror; the day it earns a reward is the day you have a reason to break it. No surveillance.

The board puts days left, topics pending and today's load side by side, then names a single next move. Not a long task list, one sentence.
The order is fixed: the topic that did not hold, then the blurry one, then the one never checked.

When a band is crossed, every student is priced at the new band. Adding a student never lowers the bill.
Seat entitlement
- Burns on assignment. A seat is spent the moment a student is added to a space; their leaving does not return it.
- Timing does not change the price. A student added mid-term consumes a full seat.
- Unused seats burn. They do not carry over, are not refunded and are not credited.

Does Demostra teach the material?
No. Demostra does not teach and does not time you. You study your own source at your own pace; the app only asks what stuck once you close it.
Does it give me a readiness score?
No. We do not make a claim like “you are 85% ready” that we cannot stand behind. Each topic carries one piece of information: proven, blurry or revisit.
How is this different from studying with a chatbot?
A chatbot hands you the answer and you assume you have learned it. Demostra asks the answer of you. If you can explain it, you have already learned it.
Am I penalised for saying “I don't know”?
No. Saying “I don't know” earns credit too. A system that punishes an honest answer cannot measure the thing it is trying to measure.
Is my attention measured, and can anyone else see it?
Interruptions during a focus session are measured but never tied to a badge, a ranking or a streak. If you join a space, only the average is visible there; nobody can see one person's interruption count.
Is my voice recorded?
By default, no: speech is transcribed on your device and no audio ever leaves it. You can opt in to cloud refinement in Settings; when you do, the recording is sent to our server and on to OpenAI once you finish, comes back as a more accurate transcript, and is then deleted. Either way, only the transcribed text is sent for assessment. The detail is in the Privacy Notice and the Consent Notice.
Which exams does it support?
Goal setup offers a ready list including IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, PMP, CFA and AWS Solutions Architect. Preparing for something not on the list, a different certification, an interview or a presentation? You can always type your own free-form goal instead.
Does it cost anything?
No payment is taken right now and no card details are asked for. Everyone who joins during the beta keeps founding-member standing and all individual tiers stay free permanently. When the paid tier ships, Prep will be $8.99 a month and Space $14.99 a month.
What is the minimum age?
16 and over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian makes the subscription payment and is the party to the contract. The conditions are in the Terms of Service.
