Refund and Withdrawal Policy
1. The most important point: we do not take the payment
Demostra subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. These platforms act as the merchant of record: they collect the money, they issue the invoice, and they issue the refund.
So when a refund request reaches us, we cannot execute it ourselves; beyond pointing you to the store and supporting your case with them, we have no technical ability to refund. Your card details never reach us either.
2. Right of withdrawal and the digital content exception
In the EU the Consumer Rights Directive, and in Türkiye the Distance Contracts Regulation, give consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal as a rule.
However, services performed instantly and digital content supplied immediately are an exception. By starting the subscription, you acknowledge that performance begins immediately, and the right of withdrawal ends as a rule.
Even so — not because we must, but because it is right — we support refund requests in the cases below.
3. Cases where we support a refund
- Technical fault. A feature you paid for cannot be used because of a technical error — for example a check-in cannot complete because of an AI assessment outage.
- Duplicate charge. You were charged twice without requesting it.
- Completely unused subscription. The subscription started but no paid feature was used (no final rehearsal opened, no spoken interview practice completed, no space created).
- Accidental renewal. Requested within 48 hours of the renewal and no paid feature was used in that window.
4. Cases where a refund is not given
- The feature was used. If a final rehearsal was run, a spoken interview practice was completed or a space was created, the service counts as consumed.
- Change of mind. Cancellations for subjective reasons while the service works without fault.
- Partial periods. If a monthly or annual subscription is cancelled mid-period, unused days are not refunded; access stays open until the end of the period.
- Exam outcome. The app guarantees no outcome; an exam, interview or presentation result is not grounds for a refund.
5. How to request one
First route: the store
- iPhone / iPad: report the purchase at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's own refund process and timelines apply.
- Android: Google Play → Account → Payments and subscriptions → Order history, then request a refund.
Second route: write to us
Email info@demostra.app with the subject “Refund request”. We review it within 5 business days, help you write the case for the store, and where relevant confirm the situation to the store from our side.
Please include:
- Your account's email address
- The subscription start date
- Which of the cases above you think applies
- The order / transaction number from the store
6. Cancelling is not the same as refunding
Cancelling a subscription does not return the money for the period you already paid; it only stops the next renewal. Access stays open until the end of the period you cancelled in.
Cancellation is done in your store account's subscription settings on your phone. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription — they are two separate actions (see delete account).
7. Corporate subscriptions
Corporate agreements are billed annually outside the app stores, so the store processes on this page do not apply to them. Corporate refund and termination terms are set in the agreement itself. A corporate seat that goes unused expires; it is not refunded and does not roll over — see Terms of Service §6.

8. Your statutory rights
This policy does not limit your rights under consumer law. In Türkiye your right to apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts, and in the EU to the competent authorities in your own country, is reserved in all cases.
